Top 5 Retinol Mistakes I See Often: Retinol can do wonders for your skin but only when used correctly. Here are five common mistakes that can lead to irritation, dryness, or lack of results: 1️⃣ Not moisturising enough– retinol can dry the skin; pair it with a gentle, hydrating moisturiser. 2️⃣ Using it every night from the start– introduce slowly, starting 1–2x per week and build up as your skin adjusts. 3️⃣ Applying on damp skin– damp skin absorbs product more deeply, which can increase irritation.
